 All of the stages described in this course are based on real-life scenarios, tried and tested methods on NHS front line workers who are dealing with life or death decisions and stress responses daily. The techniques taught, take into consideration how we function in our current realities when stress is persistent and the pressure continues. The framework has been created to enable you to build your own navigation strategy and take advantage of every experience in life, even the most helpless, challenging, or complex.

The nature of stress is not linear, and therefore neither is this a step by step course. It is specifically designed to help you access the tools that you need wherever you find yourself on the stress response curve.

Mapping out strategy

Is about crafting the optimal condition for your body and mind to thrive in stress. 

You will learn how to recognise and move towards your sweet spot for optimum performance.

The latest findings in the neuroscientific field prove that when in a “positive stress zone’’, by gently challenging the state of mind it instigates activity on your brain that allows your neurons to fire-  and connect – which is great for learning but also for brain degrading prevention. 

You will learn how to: 

  • Use stress in a positive, helpful way

  • Purposefully create or use existing challenging conditions to improve your performance and preserve wellbeing

  • Test your current perception of stress and your mindset around stress

  • Motivate you to stay in a positive stress zone

 Once completed, you will implement these changes.

In this module, we build a strong, confident and self-reliant you, so when you’re in the safe zone of stress, or perhaps when you begin to feel overwhelmed, anxious or experience any crisis, you will be able to draw on the technique that is right for you in that moment.

There are no blind trials of blanket techniques that work for others, no more feeling discouraged, guilty and disappointed with yourself when your strategies don’t work. 

All techniques you find in this module have been carefully selected and rigorously tested with the latest scientific backing designed to ease your stress response. 

I have chosen and continue to choose the techniques used in the course, based on the latest research and on my experience in working with cancer patients.  

Techniques are not random, they are designed to allow you to access your own specific learning style, so you know this is right for you. Knowing yourself, and what works best empowers you to move back to safety much quicker, and prevents stress injury. I teach total self reliance not self care as a band aid approach.

During this stage, like in a coaching session you will be given the opportunity to learn, reflect and move forward with goals set in order to thrive. 

You will know exactly why you’ve experienced stress at this level, but most importantly you will learn how NOT to go there again, or if you do, the tools to help you navigate your stress response in a very personal and powerful way for you as an individual.

You will also learn how to no longer be afraid of stress, but instead, to navigate the stress response with a deeper level of awareness and clarity for where you are on the stress curve at any given point, depending on what is happening in your life at the time. What would become possible in life if stress did not hold the power?
